“Consultative Meet on Changing Role of DIETs for Bringing Qualitative Change in Education” at SCERT, Guwahati

“Consultative Meet on Changing Role of DIETs for Bringing Qualitative Change in Education” was organized by SCERT Assam in Administrative Staff College, Guwahati from 2nd to 4th July, 2024. Twenty seven (27) DIETs of Assam participated in the three day long event. With the aim of transforming DIETs into Centres of Excellence, the consultative meet provided a platform to share best practices of the DIETs and showcase the extensive work accomplished by DIETs in the respective districts. Dignatories and academicians from NIEPA, NCERT and the State Government graced the event and shared their insightful feedback on the practices of DIETs of Assam. DIET Tinsukia emerged as one of the winners in the area of “Conducting best innovative practice for the year 2023-24”. The consultative meet proved to be a novel opportunity for DIETs to enrich their practices, cultivate new ideas, and pave the path towards meaningful progress.

Training on Sports Integrated Pedagogy for BRG members of Tinsukia District

District Level Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani

An educational visit was organized by DIET Tinsukia to DIET, Golaghat and Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park. The educational visit was undertaken with the aim of facilitating exchange of knowledge, experiences and cultural perspectives. The visit was an endeavor to promote learning, educational exposure and sharing. The two day educational tour was scheduled on 2nd and 3rd May, 2024.

Day 1: The faculties, office staff and D.El.Ed 3rd semester trainees of DIET Tinsukia visited DIET Golaghat, Dergaon, on 2nd May, 2024.

Day 2. The faculties, office staff and D.El.Ed. 3rd semester trainees of DIET Tinsukia visited Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park on 3rd May, 2024.

An online training programme on Guidance and Counseling was organised by DIET Tinsukia on 26th February, 2024. Mrs Manju Phukan, Joint Director, SCERT Assam graced the event as the resource person. The programme was conducted for Academic Para-academic and D.El.Ed trainees of DIET Tinsukia. The honourable resource person delineated the various facets of Guidance and Counseling, in the light of NEP-2020 and the upcoming NCF 2023. The presentation highlighted the importance of Guidance and Counseling in school education and the responsibilities of teachers in this regard.

Observation of International Mother Tongue Day on 21st February, 2024 at DIET Tinsukia premises

The principal of DIET Tinsukia Attended the District Level Felicitation programme for Best Performing SMCs/Mothers Group of Schools. The principal of DIET Tinsukia also delivered a valuable speech about the importance of SMCs/Mothers Group in schools.

Celebration of Saraswati Puja at DIET Tinsukia on 14th of Feb 2024

The 4th issue of Unmeelon – a bilingual E-magazine of DIET Tinsukia was ceremoniously inaugurated on 30th January, 2024. The E-magazine was inaugurated by Mr Upamanyu Gogoi, Chief Manager Public affairs, OIL, Duliajan on the auspicious day of the closing ceremony of DIET week 2024.
The momentous day marked the beginning of a new chapter as we inaugurated our institution’s E-magazine, a platform for sharing ideas, celebrating achievements, and fostering a sense of community. Let this publication serve as a beacon of inspiration and knowledge, guiding us towards greater understanding, creativity and collaboration.

Republic Day Celebration 2024

A Rongoli competition was organised at the DIET premises on the occasion of DIET Week 2024. Dr. Chaytanya Bora, Principal of Tinsukia Commerce College was invited as chief guest and he inaugurated the event and also judged the Rongoli Competition.

Gunotsav 2024 and DIET Tinsukia

Gunotsav -2024 a momentous educational initiative of Government of Assam was conducted in Tinsukia district on the 10th, 11th and 12th of January, 2024. DIET Tinsukia’s faculties and para-academic staff actively participated as external evaluators in the three day long event. The external evaluators from DIET Tinsukia extended their noble support in the successful completion of Gunotsav 2024 in the district.

Initiatives by DIET Tinsukia for Gunotsav 2024

DIET Tinsukia, has been providing exclusive and extensive support to different schools in Tinsukia district to prepare for Gunotsav -2024 from the past few months. DIET faculties have been regulary visiting schools of the five Educational Blocks to extend comprehensive academic and related support for improving the performance of the schools in the upcoming Gunotsav 2024. As part of the preparation for this flagship educational program by Government of Assam, DIET Tinsukia faculties have been conducting workshops in different schools of the district for both students and teachers. Regular practice of OMR, targeted interventions, effective official and classroom management, and subject specific support are being given. DIET faculties also provided mentoring support on the day of Mock-Gunotsav in Tinsukia district conducted in the month of December 2023. Meetings with the SMC members and parents are also being held by the faculties in respective schools. DIET Tinsukia has been endeavouring to elevate students’ success by providing continuous holistic support for the enhancement of the performance of the schools of Tinsukia district in Gunotsav-2024.
